Abstract

In this paper we have compared the time domain delay spread parameters for theFR3 band using 1-40 GHz measured data with those obtained from simulations inthe Wireless Insite software. Path loss models have been proposed and adifference of about 2.7 dB in measured and simulated received power has beenobtained, the percentage error in the mean square value of the measured andsimulated delay spread varies and is at best equal to 2.63 %. A convergence studyshows that it is not necessary to simulate more than 4 reflections, since thepercentage error in the relative received power and the root mean square delayspread between the measured and simulated results remain almost constant asthe number of reflections increases.
