Abstract
This cross-disciplinary initiative employs the discovery learning theory to seamlessly blend subjects in Manufacturing, Design, and Automation through hands-on experiences utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. Challenging conventional teaching methods, the project seeks to bridge academic content with practical applications, promoting student accountability and engagement. Leveraging technologies such as 3D design, CNC machining, and automation software, the project enriches interdisciplinary comprehension. Centered on crafting a CNC-controlled cutting machine, this pilot program inspires students to interconnect subjects and apply acquired knowledge across various disciplines, nurturing a comprehensive and experiential learning approach.
