The project EpiCo aims to explore alternative epistemologies that highlight the intersection of art, culture, science and technology in order to promote a better understanding of cultural, social and ecological aspects in the design of sustainable technologies adapted to face the current and future crisis. The interdisciplinary pedagogical settings of EpiCo orientate the skills and competencies of students towards an approach of technology that goes beyond the anthropological understandings. By analyzing theoretical and historical research on epistemology and ecology in technical education, the EpiCo project develops education models and methods as well as a framework for modules to become an integral part of programs, particularly through Intensive Study Programs for teachers and students. While ensuring the accessibility of the resources through different communication channels and public events, the project animates the creation an accredited summer school for students. The project EpiCo results in the creation of knowledge and framework regarding the implementation of epistemologies in technical education. The development of education models and methods as well as modules that will be integrated to programs enhance new approaches to the design of future technologies and offer adapted and required skills and competencies in the long term at a European level. EpiCo project is co-financed by the European Union, through the ERASMUS+ programme and National Agency for
