This project will evaluate the efficiency of bioaugmentation and aided phytostabilization in technosols used for the rehabilitation of contaminated sites by industrial wastes. Inorder to achieve that, the project will be carried out in 2 sites selected from 3 different contaminated sites by industrial waste. One option in a plot where the old industrial facilities of Potasasy Derivados were located. This plot is situated to the east of the city of Cartagena, between San Ginés, Sector Estación, and Media Legua (El Hondon). The second in a plot located southeastof the city of Cartagena, between Santa Lucía and the Escombreras refinery, within the Municipality of Cartagena (Murcia). Associated with what was once the site of the old PeñarroyaFoundry (Peñarroya). Finally, ZINSA is a site situated northeast of Cartagena, between Torreciega and the Cabezo Beaza Industrial Park, within the Municipality of Cartagena (Murcia). This plotis linked to the former Española del Zinc (ZINSA) location. The industrial wastes identified in Cartagena corresponds to ¿El Hondón¿ , ZINSA and ¿Peñarroya¿, 2 of these 3 site will be select. The waste from ´´El Hondon´´ will be used from the plotaccording to the authorization granted in the Cartagena City Council-UPCT. On the other hand, from Peñarroya and ZINSA the residues will be used from the site with authorization from theowner (MAQUINASA, S.L).
