La disposición de los socios a invertir en las cooperativas agrarias de comercializaciónuna aplicación de la teoría de los derechos de propiedad

Resumen

En los mercados agroalimentarios actuales adaptarse e innovar se presentan como factores críticos para el éxito de las empresas. Es ahí donde la capacidad para movilizar inversiones juega un papel fundamental, especialmente en las cooperativas agrarias de comercialización, cuya estructura de propiedad ha sido calificada como un hándicap frente a otras alternativas. Este estudio se centra en contrastar el papel jugado por la orientación al mercado de los socios, junto con los problemas asociados a la estructura de propiedad de la cooperativa, a la hora de determinar la disposición de los socios a invertir en las cooperativas agrarias de comercialización. Las hipótesis planteadas son contrastadas sobre una muestra de 172 cooperativas agrarias de comercialización de primer grado. Los resultados permiten destacar el efecto positivo que la orientación al mercado tiene sobre la disposición a invertir de sus miembros y la moderación que ejercen los problemas de propiedad de las cooperativas limitando este efecto.
