Abstract
This study is based on the results of a combined pumping and injection/dilution tracer test carried out in a well and in a nearby borehole. The test site is located in the vicinity of Daimiel (Ciudad Real), in the carbonate aquifer of La Mancha Occidental. We have obtained estimates of the flow and transport parameters of the aquifer: T (103 m2/d), S (10-3), v (300 m/d as an average), α (0.5 m - 10 m) and D (10-3 m2 /s). It has to be highlighted the nearly total recovery of the tracer, which was transported especially along the final metres of the borehole, a circumstance that is linked with the occurrence of a relatively important cavity or karst conduit in such section.
