Zusammenfassung

Discussion on urban sprawl has often focused on the density, but the value of compactness is key to understanding the characteristics of the forms of this urban model. Geographic Information systems and policies of free access to public data allow systematized methods to study urban forms using the cited values. On this paper, the town of Molina de Segura, one of the most affected in the Murcia Region by the sprawl is analyzed.
