Abstract

From 1956 to 1963, the architects M. Aymerich and A. Cadarso designed and developed, after a public competition promoted by the Obra Sindical de Educación y Descanso, a city where both producers and their families could spend their holidays, which would provide them a healthy and also pleasant rest time. Under different names -see above-, it represents a clear example of the model “Holiday Village” in relation to the strategies of territorial planning for the tourist leisure which have been used in the design.
