Abstract

Flushing on urban catchment ar eas and sewer system involves an increa se in the pollution load in waste water. In these situations, Co mbined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) can transport impor tant volumes of pollution to receiving water bod ies. First flush phenomenon has been studied at a location of the Murcia’s sewer system. Information of precipitation, turbidity and flow are available. From this dat a, hydrographs, pollutographs and mass/volume curves have been obtaine d, proving the presence of this phenomenon in the studied basin
