Resum

Pollution mobilization in urban catchments, is a phenomenon that happens during wet-weather by surface runoff. These pollutants are in solid particles de posited in dry-weather on urban surfaces and when it rains, the urban runoff transports them to the environme nt (rivers and lakes). This phenomenon is simulated in this work by the software SWMM (Environment Pr otection Agency) and a quality mo del measured to model combined sewer systems. Thus we si mulate the pollutant mobiliz ation in urban catchments of Cartagena (Spain). With the results of this model, we can obtain a retentio n volume in order to avoid combined sewer overflows studying First Flush phenomenon analyzing Mass-Volume curves M(V).
