Abstract

In this work uniform anatase TiO 2 nanoparticles were synthesized by gel-sol method assisted with seeds according to [seeds]/[ titanium isopropoxide] = 0.01. EDX and XRD analysis showed crystal structure of anatase TiO 2 and TEM observations showed the average ma jor semi-axis of nanoparticles is 17.4±0.3 nm and confirmed interplanar distance of anatase. Rietveld r efinement of crystal structure was achieved by FULLPROF software from XRD pattern and a crystallite average appar ent size of 10 nm was obtained.
