Resumo

This document gives an overview of the state of the art of artificial intelligence applied to precision agriculture. In addition, it describes the proposed work schedule in order to achieve the one of the objectives related to the efficient water management in agriculture that are aimed within this PhD and shows some of the advances that are fulfilled until now.
