Zusammenfassung

The situation of economic crisis that shakes international economies and particularly the Spanish one affects the industrial sector, composed mostly of SMEs. This forces SMEs to find in business innovation one of the only ways to survive in the market. This paper examines how a particular organizational culture, in particular, the work life balance culture, can foster innovation at the company and how, consequently organizational outcomes are improved. The study is conducted with a sample of 229 SMEs of the Metal Industrial sector of the Region of Murcia. The results demonstrate that the work life balance culture encourages business innovation. The results obtained are discussed and we highlight the major contributions of the work in the final part of the document where some recommendations are offered to entrepreneurs and researchers. Finally, the work lists the limitations in the methodology of the work and the main lines of research arising from this contribution.
