Abstract
In the cemetery of “Nuestra Señora de los Remedios” in Cartagena there are more than 40 monuments worthy of patrimonial protection, among them the pantheon of the “Pedreño y Deu” family, designed by Carlos Mancha Escobar between 1872-74 and whose restoration work has recently been executed. It is a funerary building that has been restored in two phases; the !rst contemplated the conditioning of the building envelope in order to prevent the access of water to its interior, as well as the cleaning of the façade and the restitution of lost parts. #e second phase focused on the recovery of the locksmith of the exterior perimeter fence, the %ooring of the plot and the replacement of the %ooring in the crypt, among other aspects. In this communication the pathology of a construction system based on massive stone will be analyzed
