Resumen

Basic Vocational Training Education (VTE) studies have one of the highest rates of early dropout and absenteeism of the Spanish educational system. Concerning the English language subject, students do not show a particular interest in learning how to use it neither improving their understanding. As regards the most appropriate response to this situation, one suggestion would be to introduce the gamification methodology in a Basic VTE EFL classroom through the use of the Web App Classcraft. This proposal attempts to encourage educators to implement the use of this gamification tool, especially when referring to Basic VTE classrooms. Consequently, it is paramount to search for methods that invite them to persist in their education, improve their English language skills and build a more promising future for themselves.
