Resumen

‘Complex Geometries and Patterns’ is a new elective course (taught for the first time in the first semester of this academic year 2017–18) proposed by the Projects Department of Superior School of Design of Murcia, and designed to bring together students from various specialties (fashion, product and interiors) with the purpose of complementing respectives learning at the different study programmes. In this article are exposed the teaching experience, its structure, the adopted methodology and the relation between content and format to be developed, taking into account that the ultimate goal was to generate among all (students and teacher) a team capable of designing a prototype of an extendable and foldable suit through the use of recycled textiles (taking materials more common in Construction and Interior Design than in Fashion Design). The proposal consisted in generating a model able of colonizing the adjacent space and qualifying the different intermediate spaces: body-textile and textile-space.The objective of this exhibition is to assess the academic viability of this model, making critical reflections as an epilogue, which serve to assess this experience, recently concluded.
