The use of electronic books (eBook) is becoming increasingly common in the actualsociety, as well as the existence of electronic devices that permit reading them. Thissituation has led to the presence of many types of formats for this eBooks, includingePub, iBook and iFolio. One of the main objectives of the actual Universities teachingstaff is to adapt and develop new teaching material that permits to improve theteaching-learning process of the students. With this aim, the teaching group of“Creation of new teaching material” of the Technical University of Cartagena hasperformed a comparative analysis of the more used types of eBook format in order togive advice the teaching staff about choosing one format or another with regard tothe purpose and experience in this type of tools
