Decisions in maintenance management could be focused to any aspect of maintenance function, so their objectives, their organizational structure and their actions go further the limits of the maintenance department and is necessary information from different sources. These decisions could change in magnitude; form the high cost equipment replacement through minim reparation. It is important to understand the structure of the process of decisions maintenance problem. It is only possible identify the most convenient action in maintenance if the factors that intervene in the cause of failure have been understood, their incidence with regard to the time, the maintenance costs, the redesign costs, and those non quantifiable elements. To predict the behaviour alternatives, it could be necessary to use some complex models of decision. Fuzzy set theory and fuzzy logic have emerged as powerful ways of representing quantitatively and manipulating the imprecision in engineering problems. Fuzzy sets or fuzzy numbers can appropriately represent imprecise parameters, and can be manipulated through different operations on fuzzy sets or fuzzy numbers. Since imprecise parameters are treated as imprecise values instead of precise ones, the process will be more powerful and its results more credible. It seems interesting the application of the fuzzy logic to maintenance decision problems in maintenance management to show possible investigation works when we can use this technique
