La Unidad de Recursos Genéticos trabaja en la conservación, caracterización y evaluación de recursos genéticos. Asimismo, es la responsable de la conservación y actualización del Banco de Germoplasma de la UPCT. Actualmente el Banco cuenta con unas 800 accesiones de más de 60 familias de plantas diferentes, continuando anualmente las campañas de recolección de material autóctono.
