The impact of digital technologies on knowledge and truth construction is generating an epistemic crisis, both within and outside academia. With the support of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, the EPISTEAM project seeks to establish a consortium and network to test the hypothesis that diversifying epistemological positions can foster responsible epistemology in technological education and innovation. The project explores epistemology as a cultural episteme, disciplinary epistemology and a comprehensive experimental approach. By delving into transdisciplinary research at the intersections of art, science and technology, it investigates the diversification of epistemological positions. The project challenges traditional epistemological frameworks and paradigms, emphasising that, just as biodiversity is necessary for the planet’s future sustainability, technodiversity is crucial within the technosphere of globalised computation. The main aim of Epistemology in Art, Science, Technology (EpisTeaM) is to develop a collaborative consortium and intersectoral network to test the hypothesis that diversification of epistemological positions could be the key to responsible Epistemology in Technological Education and Innovation.
