Abstract

What is the use of teaching History of Architecture in the 21st century? Whenever this question is posed, the work of the contemporary designer and the new architecture is considered. However, the growing importance of restorative activity, in which more and more professionals participate, invites a new reflection on the topic. This paper aims to claim a different view of the "utility" of the History of Architecture, also exposing some teaching experiences developed at the Universidad Politécncia de Cartagena (UPCT) and the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV)
