Zusammenfassung
The aim of this research is to detect needs and tendencies in English language training and qualification in Spain within the framework of the Chemical industry. This work employs a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. A questionnaire was prepared and posted to a representative sample of the Chemical industry. From that study, some relevant information was achieved on: • Identifying characteristics of the companies • Use of the English language • Analysis of the current training and possible improvements The results of this work will be used to improve, in a second research, the existing training in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) within the framework of the Chemical industry.
