Abstract

Descriptive Geometry can be defined as the discipline that deals with the representation of three-dimensional space in aplane and the resolution of spatial problems using two-dimensional techniques; is an important subject in the educationof any engineer and essential for architects and building engineers. Instruction on this subject has been traditionallycarried on using two-dimensional methods (blackboard and paper), but the new technologies are making computermodeling and three-dimensional viewing easier; these possibilities allow a new educational approach. The aim of thispaper is to report our personal experience in the use of these new visual technologies as instructors of GeometryDescriptive and to explain the advantages brought about by them
