Employing a multidisciplinary approach, the methodology of this thesis includes bibliometric analysis and representative case studies to comprehend the relationship between crowdfunding and sustainability. The goal is to contribute to knowledge by identifying trends in research and providing an exemplary view of the impact on sustainable projects. The justification is rooted in the breadth of crowdfunding, its multidisciplinary intersection, and the application of tools such as VOSviewer. The thesis structure encompasses the conceptualization of crowdfunding to the presentation of results, concluding with generated findings, limitations encountered during its development, and future lines of research. The objectives aim to understand the nature and evolution of crowdfunding, explore its essence and regulatory framework, identify relevant publications, map key research areas, and assess the impact on sustainable projects.
